KENNEDY MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL IN ISELIN, NJ. JFK FALLS IN HEARTBREAKER Despite leading eight to nothing in the fifth inning, the Mustangs could not hold on and fell to Millburn 9-8 in eight innings. The loss concludes a memorable season as JFK finishes 22-7. One note of good cheer, with Chris Grimes single he broke the school record for career hits with 125. Congratulations Chris and the Mustangs as their performance this year will not be forgotten. SCHROEDER PITCHES JFK TO VICTORY The Mustangs defeated the second seeded Cranford Cougars 2-0 in the semi-final round of the NJ state tournament. Offensively, JFK was led by Chris Grimes who had two hits, Greg Freuhwirth who has an rbi double and Joe Marciano who plated the last run with a sacrifice fly. On the hill, Brian Schroeder improved to 3-2 on year as he struck out 6 Cranford batters. JFK improves to 22-6 on the year.
